Course Overview:

This beginner-friendly course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of coding. Participants will learn basic programming concepts, such as variables, loops, and conditionals, through fun and interactive exercises. By the end of the course, students will be able to develop a strong foundation for more advanced learning. 


Course Content:

“First Steps into Coding” is a progressive and holistic educational programme that imparts code literacy while building up students' critical and logical thinking skills. The curriculum is structured so as to develop future-ready children with digital quotient through experiential and inquiry-based modules.


Learning Outcome:

Lessons are structured on a per-year basis and students will discover the fun of coding in a progressive manner. It imparts code literacy in key subject areas while continually builds up the student’s ability to think critically, logically and creatively. Students will receive certification upon successful completion of each Coder Level (from Level-01 to Level-04).


Teaching Methods:

  1. Interactive Learning: This programme adopts a hands-on, interactive approach to teaching coding. Children engage with age-appropriate coding platforms and tools, making learning both fun and practical.
  2. Visual Programming: It often start with visual programming languages that use blocks and drag-and-drop elements to introduce coding concepts. This approach simplifies complex coding concepts, making them accessible to children.
  3. Project-Based Learning: Students work on projects, such as creating games, animations, or simple applications, which help them apply what they've learned and develop problem-solving skills.
  4. Peer Collaboration: Collaborative learning is encouraged, as it allows children to work together on coding projects, share ideas, and learn from one another.

Participants must bring own laptop for this course.

  • Windows 10 or higher
  • at least 4 GB memory
  • 64 GB Storage & above
  • Intel®️ Celeron®️N4000 & above
  • bring mouse and charger
  • e.g. Lenovo ideapad 1i, HP Stream 14 etc


The Instructors will install the software into your laptop on the first lesson. Kindly ensure your laptop is set to enable installation of software.

Note that iPad or tablets are not suitable for this program. Mac laptops are okay,
